Cerrado – Images of Transformations and Frontiers
Audio-visual about the Brazilian second biggest biome Cerrado, which is under threat. Cerrado represents 5% of the world’s biodiversity and is home to several traditional communities that have been living there for centuries. The social-diversity is also under threat of disappearing as they become confined in small areas surrounded by extensive areas of monoculture while rivers are getting polluted or drying out, leaving the peoples hopeless. Cerrado is also scenery of the Brazilian agribusiness that increasingly exports grains and beef to the world since the eighties. This project is incomplete and the authors are looking for funds to continue.
