Hull, Humber and the EEI

The Energy and Environment Institute (EEI) at the University of Hull is based in the Humber Region, at the heart of the UK’s Energy Estuary. The EEI delivers two innovative Masters level programmes in Renewable Energy and Flood Risk Management. The Institute hosts over 80 researchers working around issues relating to energy and the environment – including flood resilience, renewable energy and the circular economy – often in partnership with regional, national and international organisations. Close to home, the world’s largest windfarm is located off the Humber coast and the region is base to global leaders in renewable energy and the University-led Aura initiative, as well as the groundbreaking Living with Water partnership – an international exemplar in flood resilience.
